Yay!! Were back!!

Got a book as a gift this year (not an uncommon occurrence) but this looked really interesting: Genghis Khan: The Man Who Conquered The World. A biography of his life from boyhood as a rather unimportant man to the rise to the leader of the greatest empire (bigger than Rome) the world has seen. In more modern times i guess the British Empire was bigger when it included The US, Canada, Australia,India and parts of Africa but thats recent history so i dont count that.

I'm lying curled up in my bed, sipping a bottle of mead and reading North and south. Are 500 pages in. 300 remain. And there are two more books in the trilogy!! But i'm starting to feel relaxed for the first time after the christmas hectic has passed. I really needed a few days to just Lay Back And Be Cool as the saying goes. Think that when work starts again on the 2,nd i will be recharged and ready to do something useful.

Loved those books, and without shame the TV version of it. Guilty pleasure.

Good morning,

Everyone is pretty quiet! Hope all are doing well.

We have not really had much time to relax since Christmas here. Tuesday was Ty's birthday, so we had dinner and cake for him that night. Yesterday, errands with hubby. I'm off to the grocery store in a bit today. Tomorrow is Alison's and Marti's birthday, so dinner and cake again tomorrow!
