Well...time's wasting. Trying to work up my courage...got two ladders loaded on the truck, one a 32-foot extension ladder, the other an old antenna reconditioned with hooks on the top end, light-weight, so you can carry it up the 32-footer and skid it up the rake of the roofline, hook it over the top, and commence to crawl up onto the roof. Been on roofs off and on all winter, but the first steep roof of the spring is always a numbers-cruncher. Karl called yesterday or the day before, window customer, and rain is leaking around his chimley. Anyone read that Melville story about the chimney? Good story. So...off I go...hi-ho, hi-ho, another dollar two ninety-eight. :) I'll be back! I hope.
Oh be careful! I don't know how you do it. Terrifies me.

Happy Saturday all! We got the college girl all moved back. Let me tell you: it sucked! There are 20 stairs from her vestibule to her apartment. I climbed them over 50 times carrying heavy stuff. I feel like I spent 2 hours on a stairmaster. I never thought I'd say this, but I am happy to have her a little closer to home. I didn't realized how much I missed her while she was away at college. I found a place for her about 1/2 mile from the trolley line and 1/2 a mile from the coolest hot spots in town. It's edgy and kind of dangerous and makes her dad worry constantly, but it's the safest part of the sketchy part of town. It's where she wanted to live. Do any of you live in a high crime urban area? Do you feel safe? I often think that the crime is really more about what you're doing. You know, like if you must buy some crack, clearly you are going to be visting some scary folks. But if you're OK and careful, your car might get broken into, but that can be fixed, right? And she's in a condo, so there's a security door, and vestibule and then her condo door - so it's not like someone can just walk into her building. And she's upstairs, so no worry about the windows. All her neighbors have passed a criminal background check - the landlord does this for all her tenants. So as long everyone remembers to shut all the doors..... oh the worrying never ends.

Nah, I wouldn't call it drunk. Let's chalk it up to a s-l-o-w computer that likes to freeze about every two secds (see! seconds) when I am typing a message or replying to a quote on here and skips letters. Oh, I really like your new name:

Healing vibes to Jojo and Becks' family. Feel better, all!

Walter, be careful!

Safe vibes for your girl, Holly.

I had RJ yesterday. He is just growing so fast! Hubby shared a peach juice popsicle with him last night. It was a HUGE hit! ;-D

Hope you all have a fantastic Saturday! Big hugs and positive vibes to all!

When this old world starts to gettin' me down...lalalala! I climb way up on the roof! On the ROOF! You soil your underWEAR! Yeah! On the roof! Call BR-549. Whuds anyone think? Commercial time? Would you call a man who sang that over the radio? That job...see previous...is done. Had to replace one shingle, too, tend to the chimney. Then, Karl & me we're shooting the breeze outside and he asks those people up there call you? Points to this house up on the corner...I did that roof 20 years ago...but we agree no they did not call. Called this other. Karl tells me he told them to give me a call. They did not. Three windows. $2,000. Guy made out like a bandit. I could have done the same job, better quality window, for $1,200. And made money. And the customer would have $800 in their pocket...could have had two more windows...more windows are needed. C'est la vie. Course, the other guy smells like a French whore, pardon me if you're a Frenchman. Wudda I gotta do? Sheesh. Anyway...now I'm going to run out Tamarack Waterworks road...some Benji called about windows. Estimate time...go look...present my case. Windy day today, too. Blue skies. 'Bout 50 degrees out there now...warmin' up.

Happy Mothers Day! I woke up to find the cutest bug sculpture thing that my son got for me, sitting on the island in the kitchen and a card from him. He's the sweetest child. I saw him sneaking a bag around yesterday. He's the kid who saves his money and gets me something and makes a surprise of it. My girls will be like, oh yeah, Happy Mother's Day, are you still making pancakes this morning? But, surprise again from son, he asked me last night if I'd show him how to make pancakes today. He's precious. I'm not letting this one ever move out.

Happy Mothers Day to every mom!! May you have a fantastic day. Great Sunday for everyone too!!
Was a calm workday. We served Mother's Day Lunch. I've been quite tired today. Came home around midnight last night. Was at my
boyfriend's house and we had so fun that the time just flew by. We both are positive that it might work for us. We take it slow and get to
know each other well. I so wish it would work and someday we are a married couple. He likes me and I like him. Yay!! Now how do I tell him
that I am big fan of SK and his work. I don't think he's a reader or at least I haven't seen any books in his apartment. But we are still in dating stage
so guess I'll tell him sometimes.
My throat is still sore but doing better. I consider if I go to Dr or not. Maybe is just something that goes away by itself, I hope.

Take care of you and be well. Please stay safe.
