Thanks for all the sympathy. They did a scan of her brain to see if anything happened. Thank god it was negative. She was extremely weak but it seems that the reason for that is because she was without her oxygen for many hours. She didn't even remember me being there yesterday. But she can communicate again and talk, answer questions. She don't remember exactly what happened. She has left intensive care and gone to an ordinary place at the hospital. But i admit she gave me a scare there. Now there is just the problem that she hates hospitals and want to leave in spite of being still very weak. But shes on the mend anyway.

Good news of sorts then, Kurben. I think all Moms hate the hospital! Keep her there till they figure out exactly what happened to her. You don't want a relapse.

I used to get viral infections which would include numerous anatomical systems, starting with upper respiratory and GI tract. This might be what's happening to you, Lepper, though you mention the possibility of a relapse in terms of the ear problem. Did you have the tummy problem then, too?

(((((Lepper)))))
The first time I had the ear thing, there was nothing else. Maybe I didn't really get rid of it all the way and this is its way of letting me know. I still have some antibiotics left, so I'm taking them. I'll finish them up this time.

I might know why my stomach's wonky. That raging ear infection is back. I'm not sure what one has to do with the other, but I guess the body knows when there's something wrong, even if the person hasn't caught wise yet.
Oh no - are you dizzy/nauseous like with vertigo? I get nauseous with an ear infection. You might need a shot.

So glad to hear she's better. I understand that hospital thing. I didn't even want to have my babies in one. They terrify me.

No nausea, no vertigo. The last few days, I've had stomach cramps, twinges of pain. Then today I got the ear symptoms again and realized that I had that still/again. I don't love the medicine, but I'll like it if it works.

Be well! I don't know which would be worse: ear infection (painful) or stomach virus ( :barf: ) Double yuck.

Edit: that's weird, I put the little vomit smilie in parenthesis and got two smiles with the word barf. I'll try again.

Rain today...though I had some inside work...that ole Dollar Bay home. Get that done and stop to see this other previous customer who wants some windows. They'd called left a message I retrieve it at lunch sitting in the truck eating a venison sausage sandwich...called them..."the number you have reached is no longer in service." Weird. Munching munching good sandwich! I file the number to try again...did that...got the same recording. They call again, leave another message, slightly irate that I haven't gotten back to them...so I stop on the way home ring the bell, Claire answers the door, I tell her you know your phone is out of service? She smiles...as she just got off the phone. I tell her the number...she says what was that...I repeat it. Had the number wrong, one digit off. Should have had the wife listen to it...gets to be embarrassing you call and ask for Stump-knocker only to be told there is no Stump-knocker living there. So...you tell them you had a call, the party left this number...that you just called. Stump-knocker, you say? You must mean Ralph, let me get him.

And deer season started...saw Cat's hubby tagged a doe and is after other game. Went out with the crossbow to fire it several times, still hitting where I want at 25 yards...so I'm looking forward to some tree time...two hours of silence each early evening after work, no phones, no tool noises, nothing but the sounds of the bush and the distant sound of traffic, an airplane maybe. Picked up a pile of brass, as well...this place where we target practice. A gallon freezer bag of .22 shells fetches $17 at the place I bring scrap aluminum...the others I can reload...and I saw evidence of whitetail there, tracks...and after the last two winters we've had the deer population is way down.

I wish you luck, but really, in my heart, I say "Run, Bambi, RUN!"

They can do that! Watching them is enlightening...every step they take is a caution. Every step. And they will raise up on their hind legs and bat their forelegs at one another. They make noises you wouldn't think a deer would make, this shrill almost-whistle when they are startled and unsure of what is what, although I have seen a large doe make the same noise repeatedly as she stood watching...and eventually a young fawn came running up to her. I've seen them cough like man. Couple of seasons ago there were some wild turkeys in the area, entirely new, and was watching several deer below me when their ears indicated alert as did the direction they watched...and before too long the tails come up and they left, not with their after-burners on, but they put some distance between them and these large dark objects that came walking toward the tree I was sitting in. By seasons end, I had photos of both turkeys and deer eating the corn I'd placed below the tree. Watching and spending time in the bush is a blast...when you tag one, that is when the work begins. I don't work a good part of the winter, most winters, and I do not collect unemployment, never have, or wait now, I did collect one unemployment check in 1979. So not only is it good to get out and relax in the bush in a tree...if I happen to tag a deer, and I have tagged at least one for the past 20 years...but tagging one puts some meat in the freezer and it also lowers the number of winter deer deaths due to starvation, something hunters also try to stop by providing from their pocket, their time, and their money. And the wild turkeys now survive U.P. winters cause they hang out in the winter deer yards. But yeah, the government wants to supervise that, too.
