I came back to work on Monday after spending the holidays ensconced on my recliner. Picture a large round vegetable
with a book or e-reader in its hands. My head's been so far up my you know what this week, I finally heard a loud pop
this morning, just in time for the weekend. Back to my recliner. :)
Wishing a good weekend to all

Where I am she is actually 19 hours ahead, because right now it is 8:05 a.m. here. (Flake, I mean)
That's so weird and cool that we can be talking to each other all across the world. Who would ever have thought such possible? Remember when you had to write a letter to a cousin in another county, and it would take 2 weeks maybe to get there, and then another 2 to receive one from her, if she wrote back promptly. And forget calling on the phone, my mom would never let us make long distance phone calls. We understood the concept of delayed gratification. My kids will never know that skill - unless I force it on them, and then they squeal and protest so much, its harder on me. Oh shoot! I've had too much coffee and I'm rambling. I better put this energy into work. January is hard for me: 1099s, w2s, tax donor letters, year end, month end, I can't wait til February!

I'm a great proponent of said pastime. We should all strive for moments of doing little or nothing.
Tell my husband that! I like to sit and read and he is always go, go, go. At his job I think he is a workaholic. I agree with you - relaxing and reading a book is 'my cup of tea'.

Happy Friday everyone!! Hope all have a good and safe weekend too. My last day off. Tomorrow back to work. I have to
work on my birthday too that's on Sunday. But I skip my birthday celebration to next weekend when I am off from work again.
I don't mind it much that I can't celebrate it this Sunday. Oh I can't believe I turn 27 on Sunday feels like I just was 20 years old.
30 becomes closer and closer. :D

Good to see you again EMARX hope all who's been missed show up soon.
Take care everyone and be well. Stay safe.

Too many people are stuck in that 24/7 whirlwind. There need to be more of us like minded individuals so we can reset the balance.
I think that's why everyone is feeling out of kilter.

Btw, has anyone seen my ability to spell lying around??.....OMG

That is how I am, go, go, go all the time. Just this week my husband has been focused on trying to get me to slow down. It is just hard for me to feel like I am doing nothing. Even when I really want to sit on my duff (during the day) and read, I don't....Then I end up reading late into the night and paying for it the next day. I think I will join you all ( and my hubby) and make a concentrated effort to slow down. hugs to you all.

I actually had some with daisies on the toes.....Surprise! :cheerful:
Okay, I'll admit it... an incredibly sweet lady once bought me a pair of these during a very tough spell--I tried to wear them, I swear.. but they just annoyed the heck out of my (well groomed, clean and sweet-smelling--never know when Deej will be watching) toes.
