Thankee dearie! While trying to find a pic of the Loch Ness monster for one of the games in the Games Thread I ran across this wee map. It shows England, Scotland, Ireland, Wales etc.
Anyhoo - the little green dot in the centre of the picture, surrounded by all four countries in the UK, is the Isle of Arran, where Andy and I got married! I just thought I'd share it with everyone so they will know what I'm talking about when I mention it on this board

It's 167 square miles silly! We got married in Lamlash. The ferry docks at Brodick. If you ever get a chance to go, you should. It is a beautiful little tourist island in the summer.

I saw a beautiful firework on New Year's Eve. Did some of you let of fireworks?
The weather here is okay. We do not have snow it's to warm but it doesn't matter to me.
I am fine with a winter without snow.

Hi niro and welcome back! We just had a quiet Christmas and New Year's Eve here. It has been very cold with lots of snow. I am glad you got to see your family and friends during the holidays!

The weather has been less than impressive for summer so far. Lots of rain (garden/farmers need it, true... but) I'm hoping we'll just get a late summer, could still happen, right? *hopes*

I've always wanted to visit there. I really like the name of one of the towns- Margnaheglish- it just kinda rolls off the tongue. There's some other there that remind me of something from a Lovecraft tale....yikes! I bet it was absolutely stunning there- breathtaking scenery and all! I am so jealous of you!

This new board is crazy busy, I know what it's like trying to catch up after just one of my night time breaks, I can't imagine how many posts must have accrued since your last visit!

My holiday is over today too. I don't want it to end. I could just stay home in my jammies and hang out with the kids forever. They've got one more day off, but not me. Back to the grindstone today. Sigh....

Good Morning- Are you safe and warm? Please take care with this arctic cold spell. Will be a hard freeze night here. Taking a break as I do the wash, then I'll hit the outside and cover the well and some plants. Hot herbal tea and bean bag central sound so good right now.
