I think she's actually the Duchess of Sussex now :hmm:

Don't think she'll take his last name of Wales - apparently that is what he was called in the military - Harry Wales (I think).

This is from Wales online:

"Once married, Meghan will sign as Meghan, no last name. Just as Harry signs as Harry. Royals use only a first name."

I just checked and I may be wrong about the surname Wales. It might be Windsor-Mountbatten?

On this website from Wales they are calling her "Her Royal Highness the Duchess of Sussex".

I think you are right.....

I studied graphic design and typography when I was in art school. Now Meghan has inspired me to take up calligraphy. She's an intelligent, educated and talented woman. She also practises yoga and has a healthy diet. She used to have a lifestyle website but the royal family made her take it down.

I did not know she practices that - I used to do that a few years ago and still have a calligraphy set which I haven't opened; I got it for Christmas or my birthday a couple of years ago.

She cannot sign autographs either - I heard it is because they don't want her signature to be forged.

My mother is the same age as the Queen, and she was always highly interested in everything about the Royals, especially the weddings. She awoke at 3:00 and never went back to bed, just to watch the parade of gounds and hats and watching the ceremony itself. I did too with hubby, as we got up at 4:00. I know, I know. Seems quite special. But I learned that from my mom. Loved to see Meghan and Harry so happy together. They are very much in love I guess. Beautiful outfits, except probably Victoria Beckham, who by the way, never crack a smile. She's afraid of getting wrinkles she said. She was dressed like she was going to a funeral. Anyway, I was happy to see the kids and Fergie enjoying themselves, and George Clooney and his beautiful wife Amal. What a great couple!!! The queen looked upset at some times, like when the preacher was talking and choir singing, but she looked great in her green outfit. Prince Harry is a charming young man, and I'm glad he found love at last. Meghan has a great mom and she's a fantastic woman.

My mom is also the same age as the Queen and I am Princess Diana's age--a difference of a few months in each case. Mom couldn't believe the Queen was 90 as that meant she was 90! Mom remembered seeing a color film of the coronation at the time. She stayed up all night to see Prince Charles marry Princess Diana and then watched a number of reruns, though she does not now remember. For Princess Diana's funeral, I went to bed at 9:00 p.m., got up at midnight, and Mom and I stayed up all night to watch, then watched reruns. I wasn't so excited for Prince William's wedding. There was an out of town book sale that day so I went to that and Mom does not now remember whether she watched the wedding though I am sure she did! She did not stay up late for Harry's wedding! She saw the wedding itself at a reasonable time but missed the before and after, so while I prepared dinner I dragged the serving cart into the living room and we watched the whole thing on the BBC channel, then I showed Mom pictures of all the royals online to help her get everyone straight.

I found it interesting that Bishop Michael Curry mentioned Gilead twice, then when the choir sang "Stand by Me" I had a bit of a moment :biggrin2:

I also watched Will Ferrell and Molly Shannon on HBO later in the day doing their amusing coverage of the wedding - it was all in good fun :adoration:

Oh, we ALL had a moment with "Stand By Me"! Mom and I were rapt until the camera panned to Camilla's perplexed and disapproving scowl, when we both burst into laughter! I think it was around the time the choir started swaying. I looked and found I was swaying though I had not realized it! Spoke to my choir director the next day and we agreed the performance should be mandatory viewing for all choir members!

She worked PT as a calligrapher to pay her college tuition. She actually made money from it, which is more than I can say for my graphic design diploma and my nutrition degree. The only thing I don't regret doing in my life is business school.

I am impressed that you have a nutrition degree - this is a subject close to my heart - good for you!:tickled_pink::encouragement:
