I had a scare yesterday. Our 2-year contract with DirectTV ended and the bill increased by $32. While I was looking at different packages to see if there was a less expensive package, I noticed AMC was no longer included in our package. Panic-stricken, I called DirectTV. The customer service dude told me I was safe - AMC was grandfathered into our plan. Then he asked if I watched The Walking Dead. We spent almost an hour chatting about TWD lol.
Yeah, but will it still be grandfathered in if you switch to a cheaper package? Or will you get cut off?
I know when I was selecting my cable company...I had to ask and make sure AMC was in my package.
AMC is only grandfathered in the package we have. Our package had been the least expensive package when we signed up. It has now been replaced by a package that costs the same but doesn't have AMC or TCM. If I switched to a different package, I'd lose AMC unless I switched to a more expensive package.

I could care less who wins the Superbowl...bring on The Walking Dead. (There are no deflated balls there)
So if you choose a cheaper alternative, you lose AMC. Way to rip you off.
