Haunted: Uh oh. A "very new Walking Dead". Usually, saying something will be "very new" is closely followed by "very cancelled".
But I can't really say if it ain't broke, don't fix it, because there are things in the show that are broken - or at least a little bent. Odds on those things aren't addressed. In fact, I think it's probably likely that we'll get extra helpings of those things.
And while the show could sometimes use a little levity, forcing it risks sacrificing established character traits and/or undermining the drama. At worst, we'd get something like 'Comedy Clumsy-Rick Face' along with a regular catchphrase to spark it off, or maybe a whimsical music cue for the 'mwah-mwah-mwah-mwaaaah' moments.

I guess the new showrunner was always going to want to leave a mark, but you have to be careful. We shall see what we shall see, but...I got a baaad feelin' 'bout this drop.

I'll be satisfied if it goes the 7 seasons Kirkman and Darabont originally planned. That gives them 2 more to wrap things up. One more is probably a given, even if this back half of the 5th season is awful, but a last might be tricky if this goes south. For levity, give Z Nation a try, Mr. Nobody :) I was very skeptical, but ended up enjoying it a lot. Just silly action, but a nice counterpoint to WD.

Oh, and Rick has his quirk--the head tilt thing. LORD, I hope they cut that crap out *smdh*. I've been watching Teachers lately (Finally showed up on HULU), and Lincoln's a scream in that one--he's definitely capable of a lot more than Sheriff Rick (lol). Afterlife was pretty nifty, too

Yep. Seems strange to think that, when I first heard about the 7 season intention, I doubted it'd get close. I thought people would have had enough by S3...and that was before The Eternity On The Farm.
Whether the whole 7 seasons idea went with Darabont or not remains to be seen, but it seems a decent enough number to me right now. Maybe having an end-point in mind would focus a few minds.
(My ending would be: Rick wakes in his hospital bed. There's Lori, Shane, Judith (who, it turns out, Lori was already pregnant with) and Carl. He's been out of it for a good long while, yet some part of his mind has been aware of this (explains the ageing). Other characters are doctors, nurses, fellow patients, etc. He manages to explains the basics of what he's dreamt - zombies everywhere, etc. Shortly afterwards, he suffers a cardiac arrest and dies, despite all efforts to save him. Cue tears, wailing and (maybe) the end credits.
BUT...we're not quite done. We cut to Rick, lying on a slab, clearly dead, tagged but not yet bagged. Then the bugger wakes up (and does one final head tilt, just for you :D). The end.

As for other stuff he's been in...he's been good in everything I've seen him in so far. I don't include This Life 'cos I never watched it. :smile2:

I would miss Glenn horribly :(

I would not miss Abraham, Eugene and Rosita. I don't think they're very interesting and I thought that little side story of theirs took too long to conclude. We all knew what the deal was with Eugene long before the series showed it.

Have to agree about those three. Eugene's surely done all he can now
(and his ideas about being cast out to die if he had no use...well they'll probably be proven true, or should be, at any rate)
. Rosita aka Army Bratz Doll...nope, don't need her either. She's about as useful as a chocolate fireguard. And I thought Abe would have an interesting back story, but it appears not.
Turns out his family(?) became so afraid of him, they decided to rename themselves 'Dances With Zeds' and went outside to get chewed on.
There might be a little more there, but I don't know...and do we really need to see it anyway? We get the drift.

Michonne's gonna come unstuck with her fancy swordplay too, I shouldn't wonder.
