The weekend.
A calm, lazy day.
The other day I read somewhere that SK was hailing a book called A Simple Plan. Hailing it big time, calling it a master-piece. Which it is.
Got it yesterday, read it in one sitting, only to realize that there is a movie based on the book, starring Bill Paxton, Biliy Bob T. and Bridget Fonda.
Awesome movie, but the book was really something.
It`s raining outside, my wife and kid went to McDonalds, so my kid can meet some friends of hers and play with them.
The clouds are ominously getting darker, calling for an even heavier rain.
Watched the trailer for Mr Mercedes. Some lunacy got into my mind, just like into the mind of the Mercedes killer.
Everything is starting to look darker, scarierer.
Sitting here on the PC, chatting away with my fellow, lunatic minds from the SKMB. And yet, I know there aren`t many smarter people in the world than us.
Looking out the window, hoping for something un-natural.
Bring on The Mist, Mother Nature.
Cause the darkness I already have, swirling all around me.
And in the minds of my friends.
Who are laughing with me, even though we are surrounded with lunacy.
Except we are not.
Cause Stephen King is about Love.
But it`s gonna take the world about half a century to realize what we already know today.
And waiting for the wind. Cause it`s always the damned wind...
Happy to know and love you guys, hoping your weekend is as good as mine....

That is a nice post Srbo! - I am glad things are getting better for you. And yes, I agree - Stephen King's books are ultimately about Love :m_adore:

Hey, SRBO! Did you know that the scene in the movie A Simple Plan where Billy Bob tells Bill Paxton what he has to do to him (it's towards the end) was unscripted? Billy Bob was just supposed to tell him what he needed to do to him but he ended up bringing in all of this other stuff about how he 'felt' as a child growing up in his 'smart' brother's shadow. It makes that scene all the more heart breaking. There must have been some bad blood/jealousy thing going on with Billy Bob and his real life older brother- the emotions are just so raw in that scene!
