-Seriously: I cruised over to her 'hood in North Carolina on March 22 and slunk in to her salon - and surprised the all-get-out right outta her. That was so. Much. Fun.

The bad news: Spawn of Stoopid here forgot to bring along her camera. So no fabulous selfie of us to see. Boo hiss.

But still, that was one great howdy.

She's going to be the best man at the wedding. No, really.

I told everyone you surprised me!!! I still can't believe our manager played that so well. She just said there was a new client who needed a consultation......and since Ms. Lily was sitting with her back to me, I didn't know it was her until I went to introduce myself......It was a fantastic surprise. It has been entirely too long since I had seen my good friend.
I still wish we had had more time to catch up and visit......but I nailed down that best man position just in case Bryan's first choice can't make it.....

Trust me, it happened. There was 90 minutes of breath-taking drive between Asheville and Boone - I should know!

She saw me with really long hair for the first time. She saw the ring. She saw my filthy (pollen-covered) car. She saw me six years older!

Sunny lives in one of the most beautiful parts of the U.S. I'm not kidding. Spring in the Smokies is a tad slower than Nashville - elevation has something to do with it - but the redbuds were popping and the flowering trees were just beginning to pick up steam.
