No, I didn't. I enjoy those stories of 'behind the scenes' moments before historic photos were taken.Does anyone know the story behind this famous photo? The photographer didn't want to take a photo of Churchill with his ever present cigar so right before he snapped the pic he yanked the cigar out of Winston's hand and 'snap' history was made!

I found this out watching a PBS special on ol' Win.No, I didn't. I enjoy those stories of 'behind the scenes' moments before historic photos were taken.
Was it Ken Burns. Every documentary he's ever done has made me cry a little at some point, LOL. Mark Twain, Lewis and Clark, The Roosevelts...you name it. He's brilliant.I found this out watching a PBS special on ol' Win.
Oh, and the Library ghost from ghostbustersI was terrified of those sounds that played every so often whenever you were near a cave system in Minecraft when I was like 8 and 9
I also was too scared of Gremlins when I was 7

Never have...Hey dude baseball can be a pretty sad subject, think of all the orphaned baseballs that will never be found.
It's very good. If I remember right around 6 hours long. Came out on PBS. MLB network shows it occasionally.
I haven't seen that one, but knowing Burns' penchant for laying on the emotions like Aunt Jemima syrup...yeah, I probably would.
I do like baseball, though. It's probably the only sport I like. My grandfather got me interested in The Braves and it was one of the few common interests we had. No one had better get in between him and the television (which was tuned to TBS) while there was a game on. I also like how King writes about baseball in his fiction: Blockade BIlly, IT, and short stories, poems.Never have...
We grew up poor...
Lost the ball. Game couldn't start again until we found it. So no orphaned balls around here.
Oh there's something that terrified me: Not having a baseball to continue game.
Now that dream about the humongous woman suffocating me in a windowless room doesn't seem so bad...
Probably why King shelved PS for 4 years. In any case, that distinct fear really makes those two books more relatable and atmospheric. Now more to the point of this resurrected thread:
Losing one of my children before my own passing.
Main reason I didn't really enjoy Pet Semetary and the beginning of It...
Both are wonderfully written books but I have trouble with that aspect of them...
