OK folks! Serious Halloween question alert!!

My jack-o-lantern is looking kinda rough already. It hasn't been getting very cool at night and we've been warm (70s) in the days. Is there any hope to save Jack, or am I gonna have a rotten mess on my stoop before next Tuesday???

:hmm:
Up here in Canada where it's already pretty cool *6 degrees Celsius at the moment* this is not normally something I'd have to think about. Is it black inside? i.e. is there mold growing?

Maybe time to go buy a new one and practice your carving skills once again?

:peace:

If not too late perhaps placing said pumpkin in the fridge overnight, or day depending on when you want to display it.

If in a warm climate you could use one of the carve-able fake pumpkins.

I'm afraid your only hope is to put up a sign that says "Zombie Jack-O-Lantern.' :)

Oh, I love that, Maddie! Such a great marriage of music and visuals. This one reminds me of it a llittle. I wish someone would expand it into a movie:

Kate!!! :love_heart::love_heart::love_heart::love_heart::love_heart:

"It was music we were making here until
They told us all they wanted
Was a sound that could kill someone from a distance
So we go ahead and the meters are over in the red
It's a mistake in the making
From the painful cries of mothers to a terrifying scream
We recorded it and put it into our machine"

Just start fresh and make a new one do1you9love? !! It's just a vegetable. You shouldn't have named the damned thing! It's basically a zucchini. I saw pumpkins at Kroger for $3.99 tonite. I will send you $3.99!

Always the voice of reason!;;D
We're probably going to do another one on Friday. Added plus, I can roast more pumpkin seeds!=D

Thanks for the advice, everyone!
