This was one of the photos that went around with the article today.

I'm just amazed that they found a picture I hadn't seen before. I didn't think that was possible.

As much of a sacrilege as this is bound to be here, when I think Tim Curry my mind immediately goes to "I'm just a Sweet Transvestite from Transsexual, Transylvania," before anything else.

I love me some Pennywise, and I can't imagine anyone else playing him better! But the miniseries was just never going to be as good as the book, those (clown) shoes were just too big to fill.* Even with the amazing cast, I kinda wish they'd left it alone.

I'll go now before the crowd forms with pitchforks and torches... Before I go, Yay for Tim Curry!

No pitchforks from me. He's forever Frankie. Those are platform heels others may borrow, but never fill.

Grandma mostly loves, sometimes hates him - loves him for the presence he brings to roles - hates (not really) him because "He's got better legs then I do!" when we watch RHPS. I disagree, of course.

But still, unforgettable as a horny (nyuk!) guy in Legend, Cardinal Richelieu in Three Musketeers, and good but overbaked in The Shadow, as well as about 27,000 other roles in every media going. One of our favorite lines from him was as a guest star in Psych: "I've been incarcerated in a blueberry!!"

I'm with you! IT is one movie I would love to see a reboot on. Something big budget, done by a director like Darabont who genuinely respects King and wants to get it right. (except the mist--wth?!) I think IT would make a fantastic movie. Long, probably a three-parter, but fantastic nonetheless.
