This is definitely a dark television show, which is one reason why I like it so much!
Have you watched last week's episode yet? I know the Oscars were on last Sunday, but I watched TD and caught Oscars after. Holy ****e is all I've got to say. Tomorrow will be bittersweet - I don't want it to be over, but I need to know what happens.

I have never watched the whole movie, but parts and I have seen the end.
Its such a good movie! You would be doing yourself a favor if you watched it all the way through.
And I am bummed as well about tomorrow being the final episode of TD...but, all good things must come to an end, I guess. (I wonder if season two will be as good/creepy?)
I'm such a fan of Woody & Matt that I don't see how they can top this first season. Hopefully they'll come up with another great pairing. Can't wait to talk with ya'll about this later.
It would be great if Woody and Matthew just continued on only with a new case.
The writer said he was entertaining the thought of having two women characters next season, but hasn't committed to that yet. I don't expect there to be any continuity from one season to the next, not even in the so-called mythology.
I recently was able to subscribe to HBO and Starz for just a dollar more a month. I want to watch True Detective, I have the last 3 episodes recorded... waiting for HBO to re-run the first 4 or 5 shows. I also listened to Woody Harleson on Howard Stern, he talked up the show quite a bit.
Oh snap! Is this going to end like Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid? and that's why the new season starts with new people? Maybe continuing on this storyline or something new?
The anticipation is killing me. The Ogre watches The Walking Dead with the kids at 8pm, so I have to wait until that's over to watch TD with him at 9 (we record it). @Jonesy85 - it is excellent. The first few are very dialogue driven, my husband got a little bored, but it picks up - someone on here called it a 'slow burn', that's about right.
