As a parent of two little ones its hard. You know these sicko's are out there, but you can't smoother the little ones (mine aren't so little anymore). But one thing I know for sure...any of those folks ever come messing with my little ones, they are not going to like me very much.

I fear no one. You can't live your life being afraid of your neighbors.

Besides, 'Ol SwiftDog has bite to back up his bark. This dog is quite capable of protecting himself. Besides, one never knows what sort of friends this dog may have with him. I could be hanging with Mr. Beretta, Mr. Walther, Mr. Ruger, or Mr. Colt at any given time.

In my town, we get a letter in the mail that notifies us when a sex offender moves in. What concerns me about these sorts of lists is if they do not separate out predators from those who were caught up in a consensual relationship but got prosecuted anyway because one of the parties was legally underage. I'm thinking of the case I've mentioned before where girl was 16 and boyfriend was 19 (IIRC) but parents pressed charges of statutory rape and he was convicted and then placed on sex offender registry. After he was killed by a vigilante who thought he was getting rid of all sex offenders, Maine changed how it released those names.

I'm curious... How often is justice served to child molesters in prison by inmates?
...at my Institution, through some type of skullduggery, certain groups of inmates obtain lists of cho-mos and go on a "hunt" for them...this doesn't happen all the type-but cyclically...the end result is anything from a mere beating to very serious injury...and I have yet to shed a tear...Chuggs is right, a number of them "bitch up" and go into hiding in our Segregation Unit, i.e. "Protective Custody", where they sit for a time-until they ride out to another prison and the game gets played again...
