Hey all!

Long time King reader here, something of an inevitability in a household that worshipped at the altar of King from the '70's onwards.

Honestly I have been both a faithful and not-so-faithful reader over the years. I consumed everything in what I consider his "golden age" (up to and including Misery) as soon as I could get my hands on it, and since then have dipped in and out, returning to the fold every couple of years to chow down on whatever his output has been in the intervening period.

Here's to many more from the great man's keyboard. :)

I did not even see that Flake - I read it as Wed-geski (probably used to Ukrainian names up here in Winnipeg).
(but your way is funnier) =D
Oh crap... now I'm worried I just made fun out of someone's actual, real-world name. :icon_eek:

If so... I'm very sorry Wedgeski ... I seriously canna be trusted on my first cup of coffee! :biggrin2:
(Yar, I think I may've just channeled William Wallace there for a minute.)

You are probably right - it is probably exactly what you guessed!

Wow, what an awesome welcome!

Welcome to the board. Don't stay with the 'golden years'. You don't know what you are missing. All kinds of good out there.
Ah, I might have given the wrong impression. That was the era when I would almost literally queue up at Waterstones to get SK's new material on release. These days, not so much, but there's still very little of his that I haven't read.

I have, and loved it! Well, except for the slightly predictable alternate future bit.

Welcome Wedgeski... good to have you here. :)
(I gotta say, your username sounds potentially... painful. :biggrin2: )

Never has my username caused so much consternation. :) It's actually just an extension of Wedge, as in Antilles, from Star Wars. But, as the internet grew up, so that username was more and more often taken, so I expanded it into the faux-Russian version you see before you today.
