I have not read It since high school, and should probably read it again soon. I remember really enjoying the book. But when I do think about reading It, the word 'deadlights' pops into my brain. Does that mean anything to anyone, or am I crazy?

He moved to Maine! (I hope the deadlights did not get him)Oh yes..just do a search in the box in the upper right corner,It,or It book, and several threads will pop up..one member that has a great handle on the book is named "Robert Gray" he posts very good thoughts on the book..haven't seen him post in a long while though, maybe he will see your thread and chime in..
When you have proper time... I am so looking forward to this!Rumors of my demise have been greatly exaggerated. As Neesy pointed out above, my wife and I moved to Maine, Bangor to be specific. We are living in the shadow of the Standpipe. I did my morning run today and hit all the Derry highlights along the route. Getting settled in our new environment, job hunting, and all that jazz has cut into my online time, but I'm slowly but surely getting some time back to be long winded self. I miss posting over here. I've been reading the posts, but now I have more time to actually respond. It is still my intent to talk about living ground zero from the tale-slinger. What still amazes me is that many of the places he described in his book, which I hadn't seen until I moved here, really look the way I imagined them. I've read many books set in real places that I eventually visit, and I'm almost always somewhat confused or let down as the inspiration for the book never seems to match my mental map or imagery. It suffices to say that Bangor does match how I visualized Derry, albeit physically. Spiritually, they couldn't be more different.
