I'm the last of 6 kids, so I listen to pretty much everything from the 1950s onwards. I know this is what "old people" say, but music now really does suck (mostly). Fogelberg, Jackson Browne, James Taylor: these guys really could write great songs exploring relationships and the mysteries of the heart with the right touch of sentiment and without being sappy.
...indeed and I would certainly toss Jim Croce into that mix...

That's kind of like gospel singer Sandy Patti, she's retiring for her family, but she also had a throat operation some years ago and probably can't keep the pace up any longer, since she's doing her farewell tour this year.

A Canuck Guelphling
Devin Townsend is a fellow Canuck, has an 8 octave vocal range and is pretty damn impressive. He also wished my son, Ben, a Happy 18th BD on Twitter two years ago. Made Ben's year as he saw Devy the previous November. I, in turn, fell for this guy. Some may recall him From "Strapping Young Lads".
He has made several versions of this particular song, but I enjoy this one...just Devy, his guitar and his personality.
Hang on to your hats!
