It was a Tuesday night in 1974, and Tuesday nights meant concerts at the Roxy. 6:30 pm I get a call from one of the gang. We have an extra ticket... Do you have $3 on you... Concert starts at 7 and we're leaving now. I said yeah. I didn't ask who was playing and I didn't care. $3 meant a primo group because tickets were usually $2.Saw Jethro Tull / Mr. Ian Anderson a couple times - a long time ago, when I was too young to even know the songs. Still remember it was awesome. Aqualung? Everybody seems to like this song... duh.
The man had some ballet moves while playing that flute, and looked wicked cool doing it.
Locomotive Breath has to be in a Dark Tower movie.
Thanks for sharing this! Never heard. Love that piano funk. Back In The High Life is my favorite.Ah, Winwood.

I had just seen this guy name Bruce Springsteen and his E Street band a couple of weeks prior and he cost $3. How could I go wrong... It was a $3 concert.
Don't really know why I didn't ask who we were seeing or even look up at the marquee as we walked in. Mike handed them our tickets and we took our seats. About 10 rows back and slightly right of center. Sweet! Almost as soon as we sat down the curtain opened and the group started playing... 'Living In The Past.' No freakin way... I love Jethro Tulll. I had just bought one of their albums the other week.
One of the best concerts I've ever seen. And I've seen many. I remember thinking after the concert... Man, is there an instrument Ian Anderson can't play?
Try telling that to the Grammys.Jethro Tull is Prog/Metal.

Knew you were going to say that, or something of the sort - soon as I saw Dio's post!
They sound like FEAR ....
