Saw Jethro Tull / Mr. Ian Anderson a couple times - a long time ago, when I was too young to even know the songs. Still remember it was awesome. Aqualung? Everybody seems to like this song... duh.
The man had some ballet moves while playing that flute, and looked wicked cool doing it.

Locomotive Breath has to be in a Dark Tower movie.
It was a Tuesday night in 1974, and Tuesday nights meant concerts at the Roxy. 6:30 pm I get a call from one of the gang. We have an extra ticket... Do you have $3 on you... Concert starts at 7 and we're leaving now. I said yeah. I didn't ask who was playing and I didn't care. $3 meant a primo group because tickets were usually $2.

I had just seen this guy name Bruce Springsteen and his E Street band a couple of weeks prior and he cost $3. How could I go wrong... It was a $3 concert.

Don't really know why I didn't ask who we were seeing or even look up at the marquee as we walked in. Mike handed them our tickets and we took our seats. About 10 rows back and slightly right of center. Sweet! Almost as soon as we sat down the curtain opened and the group started playing... 'Living In The Past.' No freakin way... I love Jethro Tulll. I had just bought one of their albums the other week.

One of the best concerts I've ever seen. And I've seen many. I remember thinking after the concert... Man, is there an instrument Ian Anderson can't play?

I dunno, Dave Grohl, in a interview with Guitar World back in 94, bragged, along with Kurt Cobain, about how they turned Eddie Van Halen down for a backstage jam because they were the up-and-comers, and he was the has-been, as far as they were concerned. And now Grohl has the nerve to 'embrace' the old school metal and punk he helped deep-six in the '90's. I could care less about him or anything he does.
