Aren't you from Michigan, Walt? Do they still give a dime a can on the returnables.....? ;;D

Yep...ten cents on most containers...a few not included in the total that a few other states do but any aluminum and almost all plastic is ten cents. That's a small fortune in that house! Too, I recycle aluminum, copper, brass, steel, stockpile it over the year and bring it in once. 280 pounds of extruded aluminum fetched $154 at .55 a pount...sheet aluminum fetches .40 a pound, had 69 pounds of that...aluminum "siding" brings in .55/pound, got 114.95 for that...12.5 pounds of brass, faucet pieces, that sort of thing $1.35 a pound = 16.88...had 5.5 pounds of .22 shells that people leave lie on the ground and I pick it up...made $11 that way, puts gas in the truck nothing else...an assortment of other things work related...all work-related save for the .22 shells, $330.88 total, and that puts a LOT of gas in the truck. :)

beer thirty now...two windows in today...12 degrees out but you can work around the weather if you're hungry enough.
