Taking SwiftMom to visit SwiftDad's grave today :(

The military cemetery is on the Cape so it's a half day affair down and back.

Tomorrow is the 5th anniversary of his passing. So, I'm going to be pretty bummed out today and tomorrow :(

I have been in desperate need of new clothes. I keep shopping and not finding anything I like that fits. I did manage to get a new swim suit a few weeks ago. That's the one item I try never to go cheap on.

Anyway, today, we were out looking for some stuff and we were walking past a Joe Fresh so I decided to see if I could find a few short sleeve shirts. I found one I liked, regular $20 on sale for $6.95 and it fit. Then found a light hoodie, regular about $40 on sale for $25. Then I saw a sign that said all discounted clothes were an additional 30% off.

I tried on a pair of jeans. Perfect fit both waist and leg....I don't have to hem them. Marked down to $9... additional 30% off. And the softest denim. Bought 2 pairs.

Only thing we could not find today was a brush for granddaughter.
You got some incredible deals! :adoration::clap:

This is more of a What Did You Do Yesterday kind of thing - I was downtown and a homeless guy asked for 5 bucks. I gave him my egg and cheese on an English muffin instead (I asked him first if he would like it). Told him it was still fresh and I had not touched it.

Bought some yarn in blue, yellow and purple to carry on with the granny square afghan I recently started working on.

Decided that today I would go on here to try to catch up but there are an awful lot of messages/posts - it's nice to be able to read and see how folks are doing.

I also did some clothes shopping today. I needed to get a new suit. I haven't bought one since 2000. My local men's clothing store had a buy one get one free sale. So,
I got two Michael Kors suits for the price of one. 'Cause every girl's crazy 'bout a sharp dressed dog....

Nice, I wish I could get in their clothing. I wish they had a plus size section

Actually, I watched the documentary 'The Business End: Violence in Cinema' which is a special feature on 'The Enforcer' DVD. It's pretty good, and the director John Badham makes a reference to Stephen King and his book the Dead Zone, because he mentions that he went to a meeting with executives because they were discussing whether to buy the rights to the book, and someone mentioned that some of the content of the book was a bit too touchy.

It's a documentary in the 'Special Features' section of the DVD 'The Enforcer' which is in the 'Dirty Harry' collection 4 disc set. The guy just mentions that they wanted to buy the rights to King's The Dead Zone, but it sounded like they didn't because of the subject matter. That's why I like DVD's better than streaming because you get the extra bits. I chucked my VHS player last year.

In an attempt to escape the massive bills levied at me by those goose stepping jack-booted thugs at comcast, I went to Best Buy today and bought me one of them Amazon fire sticks. A guy I work praises it highly -- he sold me the dream! What a piece of crap! I boot it up, then in two seconds I get the Amazon logo, then a blank screen. That's it! Over & over again no matter what I try. I'll screw with it a while -- within 15 days I can still get a refund. If I go back and they tell me I can only get a store credit, I swear, I'm going to jump up in the air, and scissor kick the cashier in the back of the head!

Oh, and I did some puddling.
