Well I did it - I submitted my 'opt in' form at 8 this morning.
Now I just have to wait for a call with an appointment date and time.

If I don't end up staying in my current place of work (but in a different position) then I could become a clerk or clerk typist - who knows?

At least these jobs would be straight days Monday to Friday so that would be better for my son.

Please keep your fingers crossed for me

Last Friday, someone decided to hit our trash container out next to the curb, and tore it up pretty good. Looks like someone crushed a soda can. So this morning, had to call to get a new one send out.

Also, on Friday, Kat's teacher told Kaden that Kat is at the bottom of the class, and wanted to know when Karen would be able to meet with her. Said that Kat can't count to 100, and only knows 3 of her sight words. Whatever in the hell that is.
Now how many kids in kindergarden know how to count to 100??
Karen is furious is an understatement. She didn't like that the teacher said this to Kaden instead of talking to her or sending home a note for her.
So, Karen has an appointment on Wednesday afternoon. If Karen doesn't like what the teacher says, she will put her in another class.
Then, the starter went up in Sam's truck.
It sure is Monday!!

Hope the day improves for you.I would be pissed if the teacher told another child instead of a parent.

That sucks about the trash container. That was so mean what the teacher said about Kat. :( I hope everything turns out well for you in the end. :)

The teacher definitely crossed a boundary line by talking to Kaden about this. On the other issue, though, does Kat get help with that at home to reinforce learning to count and the words she needs to know?

Having a free morning, I hopped out of the bunk, & began watching the new season of 'The Walking Dead'! I noticed a huge closeup of a 'Westclox Big Ben' at the beginning, so out of curiosity & being a bit of a timepiece goon, I paused it & checked EBAY. I didn't see an exact match, but I did see a bunch quite similar. This Ebayer had one & for whatever reason, something about their listings caught my eye. I wonder why?

Karen, and Sam are always working with her on her school stuff. While carving pumpkins the other night, they were counting to 100. I heard her yesterday, and she stumbles in a few places, but then she gets it.
I just never knew they had to count to 100 at that age.
