I have to have the curtains drawn almost all day and night down one side of the house because of this, it's horrible. Our fences out back are high and he's not hugely tall, but if I am in the backyard for any reason and he hears me out there or sees me from his porch, then he's tip-toeing at the fence so he can talk to me. It drives me crazy. It's worse in the front yard because that is where my vegetable garden is (I have dogs in the backyard) and no fences on the front of the property, so it's like open season if he sees me out there. :(
(I have been known to garden during full dark, just so I can do it without being hassled. :O_O: )

Garden in the dark?
You and I should not have to put up with this.
You know that scene in Signs where Mel Gibson has just put his daughter back down to sleep and glances up out the window - and sees an alien on the roof of the guest house?
That would have been me with this guy when I went to the patio door to lock it - and saw him looking out their kitchen window at me. This was late at night and it totally flipped me out.

I've lived with this for a long time.

Do have nightmares because of him? I think I would.

No, I don't have nightmares about him.

-There are other reasons to intensely dislike this family.

The wife has never once responded to "hello" or a wave when I've been out on a walk. Who knows; maybe she's deaf.

When a house painter was working on the exterior of my house on a Sunday, the family bitched to the homeowner's association and a call was placed to ask the painter to cease and desist. WTF??!? It wasn't like there was a leaf blower involved, and the painter's truck wasn't blocking anyone's path.

One of the boys trashed a rose bush with a basketball and knew exactly what he did. I don't think it was on purpose but he'll never cop to it.

The same kid then decided to take down the same painter's license plate a few days after the complaint was lodged. The painter hadn't done anything wrong. This was Brat Intimidation at its finest.

It's not Meet the Fokkers around here; it's Meet the Motherf*ckers.

Are they against people working on Sunday - are you living next door to Carrie's mother (or her cousins, I should say)?

I think if they had a problem with you only you'd have some idea about why. So, I'm assuming they are for some reason simply, if unconscionably, anti-social people. The mom and dad are clearly dysfunctional, as evidenced by their evil children. Mom might be scared of you due to jealousy; especially, since Dad is obviously a sexual pervert, so that their relationship is consequently impossibly unhealthy. It's a miserable, paranoid, dysfunctional family. Dad's probably an alcoholic, and Mom's clearly a b*tch.

Maybe Mom's in an abusive relationship and has strict instructions not to communicate outside of the home? The boy thing? Well, I have four of them so I'm going to reserve judgement there... boys can be strange little creatures while they're growing, that's for sure.

I know what you mean though... where you live can have such an impact on things.

You are right - it is so much easier when you have nice normal neighbors - friendly types!
(the kind where if there was an emergency you would not hesitate to run next door for help and vice versa)

I guess it's possible mom is being physically abused, but her behavior doesn't seem to fit that scenario. Almost, more likely dad is abused in some way. Deprived of attention at home, sexual and in other ways, he seeks attention and pleasure from without.

Hmmm, I'm not so sure... but it could be anything though. You never know what can go on behind closed doors.

My thought too lovey. The family (Dad) is trying to control when work is done (not on Sundays) at Your House. Yeah, he's dysfunctional.images-212.jpeg
