Hey, DJ, it's also my real first name, too. But, I go by Dan because I got tired of explaining to people 'No, It's not just a girls name.' Looks like there's actually three of us Dana's here on the board (see Danie's post)!
Sometimes, my husband will say I have a boy's name! I have a student who spells it "Dayna." I've taught for almost 27 years and have had only two students named Dana (both girls). I was named after a great aunt who was born in the early 1900s.

Thus begins a bloody long story. I started watching the Nostalgia Critic (an internet reviewer) and I became a massive fan of his. I began to be interested in the idea of Movie criticism (and I still do). After a couple of years, I got a PS3 and named myself "CriticAndProud" (I was also considering ManFromShawshank, I guess that can be a backup name).

Then I started a Youtube channel (My videos were so utterly terrible they made my eyes bleed with sorrow, I have made them private so that no human being shall ever see them again), despite being a young teenager with little review experience and then I decided to name myself CriticAndProud (I was critical, and proud) for all my internet accounts so people could recognise me.

It then sort of unfolded that my big-headed, egotistic, and frankly embarrassing attempts to merchandise myself backfired pretty much and now I am going to try to reduce the number of accounts I have named CriticAndProud.

Why, oh why didn't I pick ManFromShawshank :big_tears: ?
