Walter...but I go by Walt, mostly. People, when I've told them my name (there was a time when I blushed at the sound of it), people would look like they tasted a lemon, like they were trying to reconcile my name with my appearance...so I started trying out "Walt" when they asked and although the lemon-look was still present, it wasn't as prevalent. I've gotten past telling the lemon-lookers, or adding when their lips pursed, "or Wally! Family called me Wally!" you know, offering them a way out, while all the time turning beet red. Had this one, said, you look like a wally. Oobleck is from a line of double-aught Bleck from the East Coast...back around 1873, this line got run out of Pittsburgh...the small band of Bleck wandered west, eventually settling in an area where few lived, the snow as deep, and they found comfort in the curiosity of animals, deer especially, that hooted when a Bleck was seen, turning tail and running.
