I don’t care what anyone says about Florida... Miami South Beach is still my favorite place in the whole country for sightseeing, and should be designated "Best Beach."
Lighthouses. At the Mendota lighthouse, there's an old outhouse, 4-holer. What? Like if the lighthouse keeper had friends over? What? Maybe to...make him go insane...here you are, Charlie, all alone at Mendota...Charlie is there in the outhouse, has his pick of four holes...snaps...breaks the light...cackling all the while. I'd think Florida probably has the highest population born out of the state...God's waiting room, Hillsboro Inlet, the old watching the pelicans fly by, bombers skirting the white cliffs of Dover. Or on the beach there at Clearwater, local walks by in a tunic...they old recall that Bigfoot sighting, yay ago. Fond memories.

It was a shocker for me when I first had the occasion to go there as I'd never experienced that (seeing it--not doing it!) before and wasn't aware it was a topless beach.

I got bicycle friendliest. Really? Nothing about maybe we have the most in-active volcanoes here? Or the most trees? Or the most yuppies? Or the highest gas tax in the US? Or the most amount of yards with moss growing in them?
Looking again at the map, South Carolina also fits me. Perhaps I should winter in SC (with the occasional trip to south FL), and summer in ND... in order to take advantage of all my assets.
