I've never tried possum.......is it about like squid?
Don't know. Only had the opportunity to try possum stew once. I passed.

I do have a good possum recipe for your cookbook Sunny... Soak a pine board for three days in saltwater...grease it up and put the possum on the board. Bake it for one hour at 375 degrees, then take it out, throw the possum away, and eat the board.

I like this recipe! I'll add it to the woodland creatures section of the book.....

Then it was prepared incorrectly.
All I know is I've had a lot of incorrectly prepared seafood.
I can feel shrimp segments squish between my teeth.....can't handle that.
Scallops are spongy and taste like said sponge has soured.....spit those back out on date's plate.
Oysters are slimy......yuck!
Lobster is kinda rubbery and tasted rotten.
Everything else is either fishy or a texture problem.

Well, don't ruin it for the rest of us, maybe you should just clam up!

Yes, you have had a lot of badly prepared seafood. None of what you described is how good seafood feels/tastes.
Or... it's just you. ;;D

Don't feel too bad, Sunny! I will eat sushi, but I'm so damn picky about what sushi I will eat--no unagi, no squid, limited salmon, etc--that it's almost not worth it to take me. As far as any other type of fish goes, if I didn't catch it myself, that day, I'm not eating it. (It also helps if I'm the one that cooked it.)

I prefer beef, goat or lamb anyway.
