As I was watching, I couldn't recall if all that is in the movie is included in Tolkien's original novel. Do you know? I mean, are they making these movies in an attempt to include everything in the book?

Basically, the movies (all three parts) include what's in the book, but there are scenes that they shot that's not in the book and are new. For example, in the Desolation of Smaug, Evangeline Lilly's character, Tauriel, is an original character, not in the books. There's also a 'connection' with her and Kili, which is obviously not in the book ;-DSo, stuff like that they added into the movies. I hope that answered your question!

Sorry, I didn't realize it had another title.
Good job, btw!
Not to take away from TG's victory-but I guessed right several pages back! ;;D

Oh, I'd forgotten you'd guessed it, then when I quoted TG I thought I'd quoted you, morgan.

I wanna say sorry for not seeing that. In my rush to solve the mystery of the image, I missed that it was already solved, twice. My apologies to blunthead, morgan and TrueGeneration.

In that movie, Anthony Hopkins plays Daniel Webster, although the main character's name is Jabez Stone. There was another "The Devil and Daniel Webster" film made in 1941 as well, all based on the old story, from 1937 for the Daniel Webster version, and from 1824 for the Tom Walker version.

Washington Irving wrote the original, "The Devil and Tom Walker."

Tough film to figure, lol.

I think "Bedazzled" with Elizabeth Hurley is my favorite she-devil movie.

But, sincerely, apologies. :)

Actually, it was on me to notice the first correct guess, and even to know alternate titles! That particular lesson I've now learned. So, no apologizes accepted Sai danicus.
