Watch as many games as i can. Stephen King might like baseball but i go for soccer everytime. In Europe we call it Football. I've never understood why american Fottball is called that since it isn't played, mainly, with the feet. But it is always nice to see teams full of fighting spirit score against relatively big nations like Portugal.

Normally it would be Sweden but they didn't make it. They fell in a deciding game against Portugal. And thats irritating because i felt that we could have done just as good if not better than the portuguese team. But now.. I must i have a weak spot for Brazil. Or more specifically for their starplayer Neymar so they are my team. But i doubt they will win in spite of the advantage of homegames.

I thought they played very well. What a crushing draw though. They still have a chance so it is a good thing.

It's easy to feel that way, but I liked what the (German) coach said: Words to the effect, "If Portugal had led us 2-1, and we tied it in the final seconds, we'd be screaming happy."

Two games in, and we're still able to qualify. This is good.

Oh, don't get me wrong, I'm very happy for where they are. Especially after their coach wrote them off before a game was even played.

I was pretty befuddled by that one. Can you imagine Herb Brooks** in 1980 telling the press, "We don't have what it takes to win"? Maybe that plays better in Europe. It just kinda pi$$e$ us off. Although maybe that was his strategy.

**If you didn't know, Herb Brooks was the coach of the "Miracle on Ice" US hockey team that won the very-improbable gold medal in 1980.
