Bangor Maine Police Department just posted this photo of a real sink hole that opened up on Hammond Street

The "Hole on Hammond" as I have deemed it, seems to have brought Bangor together like only a sinkhole can.
The photos have been appreciated as well as the supposition into what caused it.
The hole is not 30 feet deep. It has been shared that it was about 10 feet deep. It will take more than duct tape and caulking to fill it, so it really is not a true Maine Sinkhole.
In any event, stay out of the area while they repair it. For those of you who do not know where it is, I am supplying a more recent photo. Strange what comes out of the ground in Bangor, Maine
