awesome!
I am 3/4 between two tribes. Mostly Makah Nation. A Washington state coastal tribe. I am starting to get more attention here in Auburn. Have not been to Winnipeg yet. Maybe a future trip for us, wife and I. Team McCarty. Thank ya big big.You HAVE to be Aboriginal (First Nations?) - that is fine quality work - very popular up here in Winnipeg - two thumbs up!
Thank ya big big. Just had breakfast and will be tackling some art.Wow. Your work is amazing. Awesome job!!
Gorgeous--really beautiful work! It almost makes me miss living in Seattle to see more of this style of artwork.
Dusk and Dawn is now complete.
I originally had drawn a wolf holding a moon and a raven with a marble in his beak. No Native influence within the original sketch. The sketch sat for a month. Every time I tried start painting it, I ended up just staring at wolf and raven.
Then one night, I had a thought. I sketched Native designs over sketch. Drew it again with the influence this time. I was only going to do the moon, but went all out. Another thought when I sat down the next morning to paint. Sunset, Sunrise and the sun in the middle even though Raven has it in his beak. Mrs. McCarty added some finer detail to the sun in the middle. Adding rays and suggested a few things.
Here it is now... So much better than the original.
Ironic when culture bogs an artist down.Thank you Ms. Mod. I wouldn't do this type of art in college. Now, however, it is my style. I still create super heroes now and then.
Kind of difficult when I am neck deep in culture majority of the time.
