Stephen will be doing a book signing on Wednesday the 13th of November from 13:00 till 15:00 at MK2 Bibliothéque, 128-162 Avenue due France, 75013 Paris. CBS has announced that they have renewed Under the Dome for a second season. Stephen will be writing the first episode for the second season.

Stephen will be appearing with his son, author Owen King, in New York City on September 24th at 7:30 PM, presented by The Center for Fiction at the Gerald Lynch Theater at John Jay College. All proceeds will benefit The Center's Books for NYC Schools/KidsRead, a program that helps get kids reading and provides over 35,000 books a year to schools in at-risk neighborhoods throughout New York City. He and Owen will talk about and read from their new books and will answer questions from the audience. Tickets are $40 for premium seats and $37.50 for rear, side and balcony seats and will include a copy of Doctor Sleep. The event will not include a book signing, but Stephen will be pre-signing a limited number of copies of Doctor Sleep, which will be randomly distributed at the conclusion of the event. The motion picture adaptation of A Good Marriage from Full Dark, No Stars, has added several cast members to the production.

The film rights to Stephen’s forthcoming paperback release, Joyland, have been optioned by Tate Taylor.

Best known for his acclaimed work adapting and directing The Help, Taylor will also write, produce and direct Joyland. John Norris and Wyolah Films are also set to produce.

Joyland will be released on June 4^th in paperback and audiobook formats.

Simon & Schuster Audio have cast Michael Kelly to read the Joyland Audiobook. Kelly is a rising star that can be seen alongside Kevin Spacy in the Netflix original series, House of Cards. He’ll also be featured in Zach Snyder’s upcoming Superman film, Man of Steel as well as Now You See Me (May 2013) starring Morgan Freeman and Mark Ruffalo.

Previously, Kelly performed on several TV projects including Criminal Minds, Person of Interest and Generation Kill.

The  mysterious artwork was revealed by The Daily Telegraph in a brief article the lays out some of the emerging details regarding the long-awaited sequel and its primary character Danny Torrance.

The motion picture adaptation of Cell is officially moving forward. Produced by Cargo Entertainment, the film will star John Cusack (1408) with Tod Williams (Paranormal Activity 2) directing.

Additionally, the Constant Reader will be pleased to learn that the final screenplay for Cell was written by Stephen.

Update 3.1.13: The screenplay for the adaptation will be written by Mark Leyner (War Inc.)

Jolene Purdy (Glee) has been cast as Dodee the engineer. Nicholas Strong (Nashville) will play the role of Phil the radio DJ.

Deadline Hollywood has reported that three roles have been cast in the upcoming CBS adaptation of Under the Dome, to be produced by Stephen and Steven Spielberg.

Colin Ford (We Bought a Zoo) will play the role of Scarecrow Joe with Natalie Martinez (End of Watch) playing Linda the Deputy. Newcomer Alex Koch will play Junior Rennie.

CBS and Amblin Entertainment have announced Under the Dome will premier on June 24th at 10pm.

Production on the 13 part miniseries will commence this February in Wilmington, North Carolina. We'll post more information about this exciting property as it becomes available.
