Today, Thursday August 11th, 2022 at 1PM Eastern, Stephen will read a chapter from his upcoming novel Fairy Tale on Simon & Schuster's YouTube channel.

Fairy Tale will be out in hardcover, ebook, and audiobook on September 6th, and if you miss the YouTube Premiere, you can watch his reading any time after it airs.

Regarding the recent video made of Stephen by Russian pranksters, "I WAS pranked. Had no idea who this guy Bandera was. So... I'm embarrassed. But it turns out I wasn't alone. Other victims who fell for these guys include J.K. Rowling, Prince Harry, and Justin Trudeau."

Stephen spoke exclusively with Vanity Fair about the strange origins of Firestarter, his complicated experience with the 1984 Drew Barrymore version, and which parts of the new movie he wishes he’d thought of himself.

Stephen King is returning to the character of Holly Gibney in a new novel titled Holly.

Gibney previously appeared in the Bill Hodges trilogy (Mr. Mercedes, Finders Keepers, End of Watch),The Outsider, and If It Bleeds. The character was portrayed by Justine Lupe in the Audience show Mr. Mercedes and by Cynthia Erivo in the HBO series The Outsider.

King made the announcement on an episode of the The Kingcast podcast.
