What is your worst fear? If you state it here, it becomes even more tangible than if you are only able (unlike most folks) to acknowledge it yourself. Then it becomes a target, and you have a chance to shoot that motherfather. Maybe with a slingshot, maybe with love...maybe with a pie in the face.
My worst fear is that I feel ready to shuffle off this mortal coil because I think I have lost the capacity to love, and that it has been replaced by a continual sense of empathic obligation that impels me to brachiate from one failed cause to another without personal hope. And without a safety net.
