Well, that is the appropriate place to keep "unspeakable" gadgets!lol! It's buried in my end table next to my bed. Wicked beast.
Wash your hair before you go to bed, when it's in that state where the hair is dry, but still has minimal moisture (you girls know what I mean), twist strands and wind them into bantu knots and pin them. Sleep. When you wake up in the morning, undo the bantu knots and then finger comb your hair. It gives you really nice beach waves, very summery, lots of body and easy to sleep on and easy and quick in the morning.
This probably works best for longer hair.
Go to youtube and watch bantu knots if you're not sure how to do them.
Yes, very much like a pin curl, only tighter and knottier. And yes, pin straight hair club here.My mama & grandma called them pin curls We also did rag curls--my girls still request those sometimes. They get a head full of curls that last for days (or until the next wash). For people like us, with pin straight hair that doesn't hold any other type of curl for more than a couple of hours, it's like a miracle made of rags or pins
I won't tell you what it was called in my neck of the woods, by everyone including the girls it alludes to. Although I think it's fine, others might not. But it is pretty funny.I would killed the environment with many cans of aqua net used during the 80's
I used to braid my long hair in lots of little braids when it was damp and let it dry overnight. It made it full and curly and it lasted until I washed my hair again. BUT you had to get those braids just the right size, otherwise you'd have total frizz and look like the bride of Frankenstein.I used to know girls in high school who would tye their hair rags before time to get that curled look.

Yup, same with rag curls. I messed up once and made my youngest girl look insane right before a dance thing. Luckily she was 3 at the time and loved her fuzzy hairI used to braid my long hair in lots of little braids when it was damp and let it dry overnight. You just made me curl up in a ball of projected horror.I always envisioned women walking around with this Epilady thing wadded up and hanging from their pubic area because they got to close to the area. (back in the day when pubic hair was the rage. And still can be. It's a matter of...uh...preference.)
Can you imagine how bad that would hurt? And it would be so tight in there, I don't know how the heck you'd get it cut out. I'd walk around with that thing in my pants and look like I had a d*** until it just dropped off.

Nope. Just nope. Speaking of that sort of dethatching, though…I did get an excellent recommendation from a friend (if anyone's interested)… (or is that going too far? )
