Good evening.
I was sitting here and thinking, I have been so blessed.
It was *little things* that touched my heart and I will remember forever.
When I was 4/5 years old, I got to spend Saturday night with my Tia Chepa. (She was the Elder of my family.) Mass was at 5:00am. Sunday morning so she would gently wake me up saying my name. It was cold and she would warm up my clothes by holding them to the heater and help me get dressed in warm, toasty clothes. Cool, huh?
I fought tooth and nail my hysterectomy. Alas, I had to have an emergency hysterectomy because I was hemorrhaging. Bummer. When I returned to work, a co-worker/friend who knew I was bent out shape about the operation, Becky did a double take when she saw me and said, "Sig! I didn't recognize you without your uterus!" I freaking cracked up! She totally put things in perspective for me and I was suddenly okay.
It's the little things.
What are some of your little things?
Peace.
