How ya feelin', Mary? Thanks for the coffee, Holly. I needed that.
pancakes and bacon soon! could I trick you into using honey instead of syrup? Thanks for the coffee, Holly. I needed that.
You have stitches? Gosh, I don't know what a person does if they really need to cough and shouldn't. As for not laughing, what a bummer. They should give you a tranquilizer.Only if it's sugar free, Holly. My daughter actually made me pancakes, and eggs this morning.
Frank, I am getting stronger every day. Thank you for asking. I have very little pain, but man does it hurt to cough, or laugh. Yesterday, I sneezed, and I thought I was coming apart! Not fun.
Lots of folks don't want to take meds at all; pain meds being a popular choice to avoid. But, I think the reason in that case often has to do with fear of addiction. If that's the case - and I mention it for your sake but also for anyone else maybe listening - that it usually takes quite a while of using a pain med like Percocet even against doctor's orders before any measurable tolerance is realized. So, if you rest the pain med for that reason it's probably not well-founded enough that it should concern you. Of course, if the Tylenol is doing the trick, that's better, since the Percocet could cause you not to feel pain you need to feel in order to protect your injury.Yup, I have stitches. I have 5 incisions, less than a inch across. The one that hurts the most is the upper right side of my tummy. They gave me a prescription of Percocet, but I don't want to take them. That is a strong pain reliever. Even in the hospital I wouldn't take them. I take 2 extra strength Tylenol, and I'm good.
One nurse was funny. The night of my surgery she wanted to know if I wanted a pain killer, and I told her I didn't need any. She looked at me, and said, 'you're not lying are you?' I told her I wasn't, and she said she never had a patient that didn't complain! So, her and, I bickered the rest of the night! She made me smile.
Hi P.Biddy... Love naps. Make some tea, curl up in a quilt with a thick book, and you'll find yourself getting sleepy.Yeah, I'll try later.
