Brigadoon is very interesting.I like Rogers & Hammerstein musicals on a rainy afternoon. And anything with Gene Kelly's great.
I've yet to see it in its entirety, and I'd love to see it in a theater where everyone comes dressed as various characters and brings props and stuff to throw at the screen....not Broadway, but Rocky Horror is a favorite of mine...

Parents had the album. Pretty much the same way here, and Mary Poppins and Oklahoma as well. Also later in college with the Jesus Christ Superstar album, although the parents weren't into that one much at all. When I watch The Sound of Music, I can truly say every word (dialogue and song).
I sing a lilting version of "Out of My Dreams" for a shower selection. When no one else is around. So you'll have to take my word for it. And you want to.For some reason, I always cry when Gordon McCrae sings Surrey with the Fringe on Top (from Oklahoma!). Reminds me of my childhood maybe?
I can see that. I was kinda "meh" with the movie except for one thing: Don't know the name of the song, but it was Fantine's lament. Never have been so impressed with that actress.Saw Les Miserables on Broadway - original cast. Never got over it. The movie is just okay compared to the live version.

...went to one in my early college days...way to much Jack Daniels on board, but I think it was fun....I've yet to see it in its entirety, and I'd love to see it in a theater where everyone comes dressed as various characters and brings props and stuff to throw at the screen.

...Rocky Horror is nothing but risqué fun....gives everybody a chance to chew up the scenery...I thought I had seen it, but apparently not. We watched it today, and there are some scenes I definitely had never seen. My son is 16, and while some people may think that's to young, I think allowing him to watch was fine. Actually, we were saying it would be great for his school to perform it.
Hope to see that one tomorrow.
I am NOT surprised...I watched the musical "Cry-Baby" starring Johnny Depp. I think I've been permanently scarred for life.
Depp can't sing, no wonder you got a Deppression....I watched the musical "Cry-Baby" starring Johnny Depp. I think I've been permanently scarred for life.
