I posted this in Cool & Amazing as well.....but it's worth posting again.....
Everyone knows how much I loved and admired Dean Smith, former coach of UNC's mens basketball. I was heartbroken when he died.
Here's one of the things that made him such a cool and amazing man....
Dean Smith had requested that upon his death, the trustee of his estate to send a check in the amount of $200 to all his former players with a note attached reading "Enjoy dinner out, compliments of Coach Smith".
.....180 checks were sent to Coach Smith's players.
