No wait, it's a dead parrot.It was a pun.
He spends most of his "Maine" time in that area so it has become his home town book store. What is Kings connection with this bookstore? I know he is all about helping and supporting local bookstores and that is awesome, but I was wondering what made him choose this one? They said he has done a signing for them before.

Bridgton is the inspiration for Chester's Mill from Under the Dome so if you're familiar with that work, you'll see many King related sights. I'm not familiar with the area's lodging accommodations so afraid I'm no help in that regard. There's an area guide at this link that might be a good resource for you.Thank you, I knew you would know the answer. Pretty cool to visit this area then. Can you recommend any other sights in the area King related or otherwise I should take in while I am there? A good bed and breakfast? I'm going to make a weekend out of this.

Sounds like fun! Even if I could get to an event, I couldn't stand in line for an autograph. My back would kill me. Unless of course they wouldn't mind if I periodically laid on the floor to stretch it out.
Funny you mention this. There's a story of a fan at a Clive Barker signing that pulled out a razor and cut their own arm and let the blood drip down on the table that Clive was sitting at to sign books and asked Clive to sign his book using their blood. It really freaked Clive out (which, if you've ever read his books, must have been a d*mn fine feat!)....Open a vein?

How about some 2X4's, nails, insulation, plywood, a couple of windows and some shingles? I'll just build on another room and call it The Signing Room.......You better get a bigger place cause we are all coming for that signing. what shall we bring?

2 tickets max per person and both people required to show photo ID - oh my - this is confusing
Just to add to my response in Post #53, not long after I'd added that I got an email from Bridgton Books giving me an update and coincidentally also mentioned (I hadn't asked) that they were allowing 2 non-transferable tickets per person but both tickets had to have a name attached to them and at the time of the signing a photo ID would be required to match the name on the ticket so anyone wanting to sell a ticket would have had to make some agreement with the person ahead of time.
