My mother began teaching me to read when I was 4 years old and never censored my choices of books. I had my first library card at age nine. When I was 14 years old, my mother gave the small hometown librarian written permission to allow me to read whatever books were in the "Adult Section" of the library because I had read every other book on the library shelves.
I have been a voracious reader most of my life.
I've been a fan of Stephen King's writing since sometime in the 70's.
As with so many SK readers, 'The Stand' is my favorite book followed by 'It', 'Misery' and 'Dolores Claiborne'. There are other favorites, but these are the most favorite.
I love King's writing style and, once I begin a book, I can hardly put it down until finished. King's words flow so easily and he knows exactly how to end a chapter leaving me wanting to know where the story is going next.
I joined this online community in order to connect socially with other fans of Stephen King's writing as well as to feel as though I am letting one of my favorite writers know that he is appreciated for what he does.
Stephen King rocks!
