I embarrassed myself last week. This is kind of a long story, so I'm going to jump into it.
Sometimes when the day starts out rough and I don't pull myself out of a bad attitude it will spiral into the whole day going south. This day went south. I almost got into a wreck on the way to work. I then locked my keys in the car. I accidentally broke my door being too aggressive getting it unlocked.
My manager was in a bad mood that day and trying to ride me like a stick pony and I'm not digging that much.
On my lunch break I went to Walmart to buy some quarters to do laundry later when I got home. I got sent to three lines and spent half of my lunch hour getting the run around over a dammit roll of quarters which I wound up not even getting. That ended up with me being rude to the cashier who was rude to me first.
This whole time there is some fella who, I won't say he was following me from line to line, but he was everywhere I was. He was whistling "Jingle Bells." I wanted to punch him in his face. I didn't.
I went to Jack in the Box for a grilled cheese sandwich instead, and I'll be GD'd if that damn song didn't get stuck in my head. I tried to shake it but I couldn't. So I lost it, and hollered Shut Up Dammit! Out loud.... not super loud, but loud enough for the three people who were in there to hear.... I said sorry, took my sandwich and left to go eat in my car that won't lock anymore.
Have any of you embarrassed yourself in public lately?
