Picked out a puppy today. Will post pics later.
I'm so excited about this!

I didn't have any luck at Goodwill. I was kind of cranky. I think I need a beer.

The ogreish husband still can't sit down. This is ever so fun. He's been rearranging the garage for weeks. He washed the cars today. He hammered several pieces of wood together and wants me to paint something on it for the back yard. He thinks he spotted a nearly extinct bird. Last weekend he cleaned out all of the top cabinets. Anything to not sit down. He can lie on his stomach on the massage table. I've tried reflexology on him - just from watching youtubes. Y'all - I sure hope this injection works. Anyone of you ever have one? I know some success stories and 1 person it didn't help. He needs a break in this pain.

I saw some grass seed and suggested we try seeding our lawn. So, we also picked up some top soil. Some of our "lawn" is rock hard. I used a tool intended to break up ice to loosen it up. Anyway, had enough seed and soil for the area we wanted to cover.

The front water hose turns on from inside the neighbours house....so I met my new neighbours. Fortunately the guy was nice enough to turn it on for us.

Next, we set up sticks and tied some yarn across in the hopes people will stay off the seeded area of the lawn. And as soon as I finished tying off the last bit, along came a drunk and staggered into it. :hammer:

We refuse to put big money into the lawn. Because of how icy the walkway gets in front of our house, for safety they have to put a lot of salt down. Even if it's shovelled, the sun melts snow, it rolls onto that area and freezes. And all that salt rolls onto my lawn. When they tried to build the lawn up, it resulted in the snow melt rolling into my house...literally. We got flooded. (Obviously the landscapers are not geniuses. They basically cannot do anything right.)

Anyway, with any luck, we will have a green lawn this summer.

finishing up part of one job in Houghton last few pieces of aluminum to bend, place, nail, put all of the associated tools in the back of the truck maybe leave a couple benches on the customer's deck, have some inside work there, tile the area between the c-top and their upper cabinets, pick up some backer-board from the lumberyard, a handful of...thingies...to extend the depth of the outlet boxes. faxes just came through for some bids I'm working on...early...not quite 7 ay-em here so they must have changed their hours down Marquette. But then the sun's been up for about two hours...so. Wife's birthday is coming up and noticed she had ordered herself a new fitbit--print-out receipt on the counter. Guess I should return the one I picked up. They make a water-proof fitbit though it doesn't track laps and that is what she got herself, a waterproof fitbit to replace the one that is acting up. Just sent a fax back to supplier, forgot to request Low-E/Argon in a piece of glass I need a price on. "Transmission is complete"...Hal...my fax machine. Need to pack a lunch, make some coffee, put some tools in the truck, a bag of mortar. It's a sunny day. Can't I just go fishing, instead?

Wow, you have us all beat, I wager. ;-D Have fun and come tell us all about it later!

Joe's event was great. He picked a few people from the audience (including myself) to play kazoos on stage while he and the audience sang songs in which he rewrote the lyrics. He read a scene from the book and then signed whatever you brought or bought and posed for photos. He's a really entertaining and funny guy.

Here is Joe's panorama and the kazoo he gave me.

Being productive today :) 3 mile walk, cleaned the main rooms upstairs, including mopping (which I HATE doing), brushed the dogs, did some bookkeeping, and ate breakfast/lunch. Still have those dishes, then off to get LilMan and DD#2, dinner, and dog walk. Homework? maybe.

Today, had to take the kiddo for blood work first thing. His behavior has regressed to the point where he is in a constant state of agitated anxiety, but not being able to have breakfast before leaving the house took his mood to a new low.
The phelbotomist heard him before she saw him and I could tell she was scared.
She did great though and kiddo actually held very still. Then it was right back to his usual howling, banging, stomping, yelling self, but I was just thankful we got through the blood draw with no problems.
The phelbotomist admitted that she said a prayer before she came in the room to do it. So, thanks God! :)

Spending the rest of the day doing housework.
