I always thought Canadian women were a bit tougher.
I'm a bit concerned about the Canadian men.
I hunted for the spider and could not find it. Finally gave up. While we were watching tv, my husband whispers to me "He didn't see that spider in the bathroom, did he? It was HUGE!"
I could not believe my husband just left the freaking spider there, knowing full well, our son will skip a shower if he sees one in the bathroom.
So then, the kid is in the kitchen complaining that I did not kill the spider, because it's still on the wall and now he is refusing to go in and brush his teeth, instead he's using his dad's bathroom. (Two piece bathroom, no shower.) Dad does not like this because dad is a germaphobe and doesn't like to share.
I told them both off...used a lot of f's....went upstairs and killed the spider.
I actually understand both phobias. Son is allergic to insects. Spiders bite, and when they bite him he will have a large area (like half his arm) swollen for over a week. There is always the risk it could be anaphylactic next time. So, a very legitimate fear.
Husband has a chronic disease which a germ that causes most people a bit of coughing or stuffed up, could be much more serious for him. I understand.
But husband could have killed the spider.
