Happy 4th July to you all, friends across the Atlantic!
What think you of this bad call - the return of Ghostbusters?
This isn't about gender equality - nope, it's about artistic integrity (call off the dogs: lightweight, funny and even sci-fi films have integrity. It's hard to imagine any film director saying to himself "um , this film of mine won't have a breath of integrity" ).
Subtract Harold Ramis, Bill Murray and Dan Murray from the equation and you have something, but it surely isn't the Ghostbusters that I remember so fondly from '84/'85.
Anyone, else think that some reboots are gagging for the cease and desist treatment?
What would you want to see with a Reboot me. . not sticker slapped on it?
Here's a few of mine:
Tremors (1990)
The Big Chill (1983)
When Harry Met Sally (1989)
Broadcast News (1987)
Trading Places (1983)
May I suggest that we limit ourselves to 5 films, released between 1980-1990?
Thanks!
