Carpet the walls! Problem solved!!
You're welcome!!!
After all these years of reading my posts and you haven't realized yet that my walls have rubber on them???
...actually, the broadcast facility where I work-has all the studio walls covered as a sound proofing/deadening application....plus, we employ Keebler elves in their off time to sweep them....KRF will be the test subject for our carpeting the wall experiment, CYB. Once he finds the joy of fuzzy walls, he may run into a problem with vacuuming them. Any chance you have time to retrofit a Roomba to make it capable of climbing walls?
I was on a tour of the RCA building in New York and one room had carpet on the walls.Carpet the walls! Problem solved!!
You're welcome!!!
So, yesterday I hired a company to come out and clean my carpets in the living room and my bedroom. I am happy with the results. I used Zerorez- they are a good company and they don't use harsh chemicals like some other carpet cleaning places. Prices were reasonable. The carpet is over 8 years old and now it looks like new! The man asked me how old it was, I told him and he said it was in great shape for being that old. So, my problem is now that I moved all of my furniture out of the way I was able to get a good look at my walls and noticed that they need painting. That makes me sad..... Isn't this akin to moving into a new place and discovering that your old furniture looks bad? I guess it's not a bad thing- I really do enjoy painting and giving the walls a fresh look!!
The carpet is always so fresh smelling, after the cleaner's have been there.
I vacuumed twice before the cleaner came and he was still getting clumps of hair from the cats out of the carpet while he was shampooing. He said it's the stuff that had worked its way deep down into the carpet. This must be part of my problem here - I still have carpeting in the computer room and dining room area - it is all open concept. The two cats are great and I love them but I think their hair and dander must get into the carpeting.
I guess I'll try buying that stuff with the baking soda in it, sprinkle it on and let it sit, then vacuum it up - it's a start at least!

I'm shampooing our carpets this weekend. Not a chore I'm particularly looking forward to.
