...gee, I'm honored....Just recently re-read,
I agree with GNT
(this time!)
Don't understand any confusion there, pretty simple take on the kid getting flack from a teacher who meets a strange demise..
I guess it would be considered a simple take from someone who uses a Calvin and Hobbes avatar
Apparently a poet named William Blake wrote a poem,"The Tyger" and Ray Bradbury also used it in Fahrenheit 451..some say it is a throwback to Olde English spelling of the 18th and before centuries..gotta watch out for them Tygers, they are out there!I could never figure out why tigers is spelled wrong........
....and remember, he wrote this when he was in High School.......plus, IMO-the Bradbury tail(pun intentional)of the same name is superior.....
...yeppur.....Shore Leave....I read Bradbury's short story Here There Be Tygers before I read SK's short story and wondered if SK's imagination had been stirred by Bradbury's story. The stories are quite different but I guess the imagined tiger in SK's "tail" lol coming to life is a bit like Bradbury's "tail"
Trivia: one of the original Star Trek episodes was based on Bradbury's story.
