amen brother, amen
Thank you.Wish you patience and luck. Terribles.
Did you do it on-lineÉWhat the hell? As if they don't charge enough for everything else in the first place?!
I'm mad because I blew the Jeopardy test. Mad at myself.
Did you do it on-lineÉ
(sorry - question mark on my keyboard thinks it is a capital e with an accent)
Faulty buzzer...Yes. They do online tests once a year. I did the in-person test twice. Once I didn't pass, once I did and played a "sample" game. Guess I didn't do well on that. I do tend to choke up under pressure...
Faulty buzzer...
What an idiot to say a thing like that.I didn't know where to put this, but wtf?
Shepard Smith’s Doomsday Hurricane Matthew Prediction: ‘You and Everyone You Know Are Dead’
...sounds like you need an extra sharpened stick.....what a creepadoucheazoid......I had to dismiss a client a while ago. I may have mentioned it here, I can't remember.
Long story short, this was a guy that I've known for a long time. He was friends with my brother, and I had even went on a few dates with him when I was in my early twenties....it was nothing special....I considered him a friend.
He had fallen on some really difficult financial times a few years ago, and I gave him haircuts for half price to help him out. When he got his hair cut in August, I charged him the usual ten dollars.....he acts surprised and asked if I had raised my prices. I felt horrible embarrassed and insulted at the same time, but I just let it go.
Then he replies to a post I had made on my facebook page...the one I use for business networking.... where I had asked my friends to like the post, and I'd tell them how we met, my favorite things about them, etc......he said "Don't tell everything, because this is a PG rated site"......Now, THAT pissed off royally. I felt that his comment was extremely rude and highly inappropriate, but I simply deleted the entire post, and went on my merry way.
He got his hair cut a few weeks ago, and after inquiring about the price again, he had the gall to ask me if I would cut his hair at home if he promised to refrain from grabbing my breast.......
That did it.....It was all I could do to maintain a level of acceptable professional composure and not cuss out loud in front of the entire salon. I've blocked him from all my social media, our manager knows I will refuse to cut his hair.....now he amazingly got hold of my cell phone number...... luckily, my carrier allows us to block unwanted callers.
Okay, good vent......

Shepard Smith’s Doomsday Hurricane Matthew Prediction: ‘You and Everyone You Know Are Dead’
Devil's advocate here. His method was not professional by any means. Weatherpeople take on the responsibility to warn the public. Just think what might have happened if Matthew had not moved east, or moved a tad west, as predicted. Catastrophe comes to mind. Many who now live in Fl - either coast, have never experienced a hurricane. Many millennials think it is fun to be in a hurricane. Something new to experience in their life. Can one image 140 mph winds on top you? Thankfully, this did not happen. Still, with the storm just off the coast there is significant damage, and there is more coastline farther north yet to experience the effects of Matthew.
Now a degree of complacency will happen. Oh it wasn't as bad as they said.
My local guy took the responsibility factor in a different direction. He explained what a 9-11 foot tidal surge could do. What could happen if it took a different path. He was strong in his wording and plead to get out now. Finally he said-- if you do evac, and I was wrong with my concerns for your life- so be it, go ahead and FB me, tweet, whatever. Call me out. But remember that you are alive to do just that!
Warnings are necessary, just not the degree that that weatherman stated them. Just my opinion.
