Congratulations on your new family member! I think that's neat idea. Maybe someday when you visit, he will be married and have some baby "boughs."I got an olive tree! Well, sort of. My brother and SIL "adopted" and olive tree in Italy for my husband and me in our names. We received 3 cans of olive oil and a picture of the tree with a description of where it is in southern Italy (sort of a certificate of adoption). We also get a shipment of 3 more cans at some point (I would gather after the next harvest). My husband and I have named the tree "Paolo." We hope to visit it one day.
