These Personalized License Plates, in the US, like this
Do you have to Pay for them and if so, are they Expensive ?

I'm in Virginia, too! I've had personalized plates since my first car, way back in 1989. It's only $10 more to personalize and you can have up to 7 letters depending on what plate you choose. Some have pictures that limit the space for letters. I think VA has over 200 styles of plate you can choose. One car has a parrot head plate, which can take up to 6 letters...
and the other has the Mountain to Sea background, which can take up to 7...

Ahh, I don't know why I was thinking it was more. I used to have UNC plates (but not personalized) on one of my rides and it was more than the cost of regular plates.
And where in the Commonwealth do you live?
I took two hydrocodones (4 hours apart) and spent 6 hours on a heating pad last night. I've never felt more like an old geezer.

This guy has the last name of 'Grabher'
So he had a fight with the government over whether or not he should be allowed to display his plate, as some people thought it was offensive.
Apparently, along with my pierced ears and hair wraps I used to have....
And yes, don't think the a-holes I used to work with didn't have a friggin' field day with that little tidbit of Ghost of grunge days past fashion trivia....lol
Also I ran out and bought every parka I could find at the Walmart this morning...
